Born in the heart of Iowa’s ag populace but raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Ben has a passion for markets and people. Following graduation from the University of Iowa, Ben assumed a job on a brokerage desk. Eventually, helping to found New Frontier, Ben has offered an innovative perspective, striving to support new ideas, methods, and tools that serve his clients in a dynamic and ever-changing marketplace.

Cory BrandtPartner

Cory is a Partner with New Frontier and has been a commodity broker since 2009. Cory grew up in rural north central Iowa, working in agriculture from a young age. Cory works with livestock producers on hedging strategies and investors with managed futures accounts. After over a decade of living in Chicago, Cory and his family moved to beautiful southern Utah. Cory has a B.S. in Information Technology and earned an MBA from Western Washington University.

Daniel BluntzerPartner

Completing his B.A. and MBA at Texas A&M University prepared Daniel to provide extensive expertise and insights into the core of the commodities and agribusiness community. After helping to found New Frontier Capital, Daniel has spent the last decade focused on generating excellent outcomes for his clients and helping to dynamically shape New Frontiers culture while retaining our connection to the people, producers, and places that we seek to serve.

Kurt JohnsonPartner

Moving from Iowa’s agricultural center to Chicago in the Mid-1990s, Kurt emerged as a dynamic, insightful, and personable broker who brought a lifetime of insights into the Midwestern agricultural scene to the trading floor. A founding member of New Frontier in 2015, Kurt has continued to bring his deep agricultural knowledge and multidisciplinary trading strategy to his clients and partners, helping to guide New Frontier’s financial and ethical principles for nearly a decade. Kristin Ritchie

Kristin’s love for agriculture led her to pursue a degree in animal science at Texas A&M University. After graduating in 2014, Kristin began working with New Frontier Capital Markets. Kristin provides hedgers and speculators across the U.S. with tailored options, LRP, futures trading strategies, in-depth market research, and industry news. In addition, Kristin is a registered livestock insurance agent and offers clients Livestock Risk Protection and Livestock Gross Margin policies.

Matt Huston

Matt was born and raised in Western Illinois on a grain and livestock farm. He attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and majored in Agricultural Economics. After graduating, Matt moved to Chicago and began his career as a Grain and Treasury Trader, working on the floors of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. Matt works with producers hedging production and feed needs. He has also become an insurance agent providing livestock producers with Livestock Risk Protection and Gross Margin policies.
